PFN tasked to lead the Church back to righteousness

The convener of Arm of God Reconciliation Outreach, (AGRO) Pastor Mrs. Clara Alao has congratulated Bishop Francis Wale Oke on his election as the new National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN). She described Bishop Oke as an experienced spiritual father with a sterling leadership quality.

In her press statement signed by AGRO media consultant and member, Dr. Wole Olarinde, Pastor Mrs. Alao charged the PFN new president to use his election as an opportunity to lead the body of Christ in Nigeria back to righteousness, unity and love. She bemoaned the present state of the Church in Nigeria and therefore urged the PFN new leadership to rebuild the broken wall of the Church in Nigeria.

“Arm of God Reconciliation Outreach (AGRO) heartily congratulates Bishop Francis Wale Oke on his election as the National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN). Bishop Oke is a respected and experienced spiritual father with a sterling leadership quality. AGRO is confident his experience and leadership quality as a respected spiritual father will bear positively upon the body of Christ in Nigeria,” the statement read.

The AGRO leader then tasked Bishop Wale Oke to imbibe the spirit of Nehemiah to rebuild and lead the Church in Nigeria back to righteousness. “Bishop Wale Oke has been raised by God for such a time like this as PFN National President to rebuild and lead the Church in Nigeria back to righteousness. The present state of the Church in Nigeria is too worrisome. Like Nehemiah was concerned with the situation of Jerusalem after the captivity, Bishop Oke should be concerned with the present situation of the Church in Nigeria, particularly the Pentecost assemblies.

“When Nehemiah heard about the broken wall of Jerusalem, he sat down and wept, mourned for certain days, fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. He was sorrowful for the great affliction and reproach and the wall of Jerusalem that is also broken and its gates burned down. And he took up the task to rebuild Jerusalem.”

In like manner, AGRO urges the Bishop Wale Oke-PFN leadership to also take up the task of rebuilding the broken wall of the Church in Nigeria, especially of the Pentecostal assemblies. Charlatan preachers and practices, inordinate ambition, self-aggrandizement of church leaders, corrupted sermons, immorality on both the pew and the pulpit, loss of love and unity in the body of Christ are evidence that the wall of the Nigerian Church is broken, and which allows the enemy to attack the Church. It will take righteousness to revive and rebuild the Church. Therefore, AGRO appeals to the PFN leadership to lead the Church back to righteousness.”

Pastor Clara Alao said Arm of God Reconciliation Outreach (AGRO) was birthed from the two visions she received from God to foster unity and love in the body of Christ and to promote righteousness in the body. “God called me as an intercessor on the platform of Arm of God Reconciliation outreach (AGRO) to foster unity and love in the body of Christ that they all may be one ( John 17:21), to work as a support arm in the body of Christ and to promote righteousness in the body.” the AGRO convener said.
