Pastor Taiye Olayemi, General Overseer of Ever Increasing Anointing Ministries, Lagos, has dismissed the thought that Nigeria would break by some people because of the political tension, regional agitations in some parts of the country and the spate of insecurity and violence in the land, threatening the unity of the country.
Nigeria for some years now has been at the edge particularly due to the outlawed southeast Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB)’s secession agitation and the southwest Oodua Nation’s self-determination agitation coupled with the political tension, economic challenge, banditry, kidnapping, herdsmen/farmers attacks and various forms of insecurity and violence pushing the country towards the precipice.
Despite the threat of these developments to Nigeria’s oneness, Olayemi described the developments as steps towards Nigeria’s greatness among nations. He said he believes in God’s agenda for Nigeria of becoming the greatest nation on the earth.
“I strongly believe in God’s agenda for Nigeria to become the greatest nation on the earth. I believe in Nigeria because of God’s prophetic agenda for the country. Those people that are saying or thinking that Nigeria will break should dismiss that thought. It is only those who have a myopic or narrow view of the country that are saying or thinking so because of the challenges in the country. But to those who know and understand God’s prophetic agenda for the country, those challenges are steps towards Nigeria’s greatness among nations,” Olayemi told Christian Benefits.
Pastor Olayemi, in an interview with Christian Benefits on the state of the nation also addressed the increasing moral decadence among Nigerian youths today. Aside foreign influence the preacher blamed the Nigerian parents, religious groups in the country and the Nigeria government for the decadence among the youths.
“I will put the blame on the parents, religious organizations particularly churches and mosques and the government in that order. I heap the blames largely on the parents and the religious assemblies. The government takes a small fraction of the blame. It is the parents and religious assemblies that produce the resources for the government. It is the home that produces the personnel for the government. All the corrupt people in the governments are raised in homes. Most belong to different religious faiths either as Christians, Muslims and even traditionalists. What manner of children are parents raising? What kinds of teachings are religious assemblies giving their faithful: A society is a reflection of the home and the religion.
“If the home raises bred thorough children and the religion raises deeply God-fearing children, the children won’t easily succumb to external or negative foreign influence. Nigerian parents therefore should correct the lapses in their parenting. Religion preachers; pastors, imams and what have you should place emphasis on moral uprightness in order to give the government and the society at large goodly youths and abate the moral decadence among our youths,” Olayemi advised.
Meanwhile Olayemi has identified the significance of the Holy Spirit in the lives of minister of God who desire to accomplish excellent results in their respective ministries in 2022. He explained that they must host the Holy Spirit in their lives and in order to experience divine release of God’s anointing upon their lives to make greater impact and advance the kingdom of God in the New Year.
The preacher, in his exhortation on hosting of the Holy Spirit, pointed that the hosting of the Holy Spirit is different from the way people look at the Holy Spirit in the lives of believers. “The hosting of the Holy Spirit is different from the way we look at the Holy Spirit in the life of a Christian. As a Christian you have the Holy Spirit. You are not hosting it. It dwells in you. But the one you are hosting is upon you, and it has to do with power dimension of the Holy Spirit .The one that is upon you is what advances the kingdom of God. The one that is upon you is what makes you to have a work for God. The one that is upon is what makes you relevant in life as a Christian. The one that is upon you is what makes you overcomer. It is different from the one that dwells within you
“The indwelling of the Holy Spirit forms your character. It is the one that is upon you that takes Christ to others. The one inside of you works for you. It is for you. But the one upon you is not for you. It is for the other people around you. So, this year we (ministers) must poise for the revisit of the hosting of the Holy Spirit. Emphasis is operation of Holy Spirit upon you. There are churches whose impacts are not being felt because they are not yet hosting the Holy Spirit,” he explained.
The cleric assured ministers that the hosting of the Holy Spirit in their lives would enable them to fulfill their individual destiny. “They should expect the Holy Spirit to come upon them to fulfill their destiny. For several years many people to no avails have been attending revivals, seminars and conferences in order to fulfill their destiny. We have a strong assurance that when the Holy Ghost comes upon them there will be a divine release of the Holy Spirit to fulfill their destinies. So this year they must prepare themselves for consecration. They must set their minds of God alone to be able to receive the divine visit of the Holy Ghost in their lives,” Olayemi advised.
