Dr. Oladele Johnson’s mother transits to glory, burial arrangement announced

The General Overseer of Jesus Liberation Ministries International and President and Founder of Unchain Africa, Dr. Oladele Johnson, has lost his mother, Madam Dorcas Oladunni Onapitan, popularly known as “Iye Mummy.” She was 85.

The Onapitan family announced her passing in a “Celebration of Life” notice, inviting relatives, friends, well-wishers and members of the Christian community to her burial ceremony in Ijebu Igbo, Ogun State.

According to the programme of events, a Christian wake keep will hold on Friday, October 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at the late matriarch’s residence in Idesan, Oke Agbo, Ijebu Igbo, near Asegbe house.

The church service will take place the following day, Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Foursquare Gospel Church, Eleyun Junction, Oke Agbo, Ijebu Igbo.

Guests will be entertained at St. Phillips Primary School, Idesan, Oke Agbo, Ijebu Igbo.

The family described the ceremony as a celebration of a life well spent, noting that the deceased lived to the ripe age of 85. Dr. Johnson is widely known for his ministry work across Nigeria and beyond, and for his humanitarian and advocacy efforts through Unchain Africa.
