Dr. Priscilla Otuya is a highly respected Christian leader in Nigeria with decades of ministry experience. Below is a concise overview of her background:

Early Life: Dr. Otuya was born in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, and grew up in Ikoyi, Lagos State. Although her parents hail from Delta State, she was raised in Lagos. She comes from a family of eight children and is the third child.

Salvation and Calling: At the age of nine, she had a profound supernatural experience that later culminated in a life-changing encounter with Christ. During this encounter, she received a divine mandate to “look for the missing parts and restore them,” a reference to the body of Christ. Her full surrender to Christ occurred after attending a programme organized by Rev. Tunde Joda.

Ministry Journey: Dr. Otuya has walked with the Lord for approximately 39 years and began ministering almost immediately after her salvation experience. She was consecrated as a Bishop about 12 years ago.

Leadership Role:
She is the current President of the United Gospel Churches Association of Nigeria (UGCAN), a position she assumed following her election about 12 years ago. As the first female president of the association, she is committed to restructuring and reorienting UGCAN in line with sound biblical principles.

Personal Life: Dr. Otuya is married and fondly refers to herself as “The Regent Queen” and “First Minister of the House of Regents.” She is widely known for her humility, servant leadership, and strong commitment to civic and Christian service.

Vision and Impact: Under her leadership, UGCAN is focused on addressing ethical concerns and scandals within the church, promoting ministerial integrity, and empowering women and young people. One of her flagship initiatives is the Nigerian Pastors Project, which seeks to foster unity, accountability, and collaboration among pastors across the nation.
