C&S (Oke Ayo) celebrates the Perfect God at 25th anniversary

The Eternal Sacred Order of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church (Oke Ayo), Festac, last Sunday May 23, 2021 celebrated her 25th Founder’s day anniversary held at the church auditorium in Fectac, Lagos, with thanksgiving and praises to God by the church members and guests at the occasion.

The minister in charge of the church Most Snr. Ap. Mother Prophet J.0 Adeyela (JP) could not conceal her joy as she sang and danced in appreciation to the Lord for the great achievements of the church that she said started inside a shop 25 years. In her welcome address the excited Prophetess Adeyela recalled the humble beginning of the church thus: “We started this church inside a shop on the 21st of February 1996. It was like a dream. From there we moved to 21Road 2 Close where we stayed for some time. The vision that came out then was that God is taking us to our Promised Land. And within a short period of time after the prophecy, the perfect God bought this land for us as He promised,” she recalled.

Aside God the prophetess also expressed gratitude to her deceased husband and former elder in charge of the church, Late Sp. Ap. Alade Adeyela, her children, the church members and ministers and several individuals for their contributions and support to the growth of C&S Oke Ayo in her 25 years. She specially thanked her spiritual mentor, Baba Aladura S.A Ajakaiye for the training he impacted in her.

“I really appreciate my father, Baba Aladura S.A Ajakaiye; my mentor where I served for good 15 years. He trained me very well and I received his training very well. The staff of office he gave to me is doing miracles as he told me the day he anointed me and gave it to me. I really thank him. Oke Oke will never forget him.”

The 25th anniversary celebration with the theme “The Perfect God” attracted great personalities and people from all the works of life including and many C&S elders like Sp. Ap. Dr. T.A Adeyemo (guest speaker), Supt Ap. Engr. Adeniyi O. Afolabi (chairman), Rev. Mother Pro (Dr.) M.A Adebayo J.P (chairperson), Chief Charles O. Durosaro (the new Baba Ijo), and other prominent C&S churches and elders.

In his exhortation on the theme The Perfect God” the guest speaker, Sp. Ap. Dr. T.O Adeyemo (J.P) of C&S Church Int’l Agbala Agbara Aladura said that from creation God made all things perfect and he is still in the business of making any situation perfect. He charged people who are going through various tribulations to be hopeful that God would perfect all that concern them at the appropriate time.

“God is God of perfection. When God determines to perfect the life of a person he does not abandon the person. But the person must walk with the Lord. It is only God of perfection that can do all things perfectly. God does things at the appointed time. Only God is perfect. Whatever we receive is by God’s grace. When God recognizes you; even when people abandon you, God will remember you,” he said

However, the preacher advised people to allow God to always lead them in order for Him to perfect their lives. “God is not happy seeing his children suffering. You must submit to him. Don’t be wiser than God. Call him at all times. Always pray to God for forgiveness of your sins. Don’t be proud in the eyes of God,” he advised.

Snr. Ap. Dr. Adeyemo added that people must have a heart of thanksgivings and praises unto the Lord before they can experience his perfection in their situations. “When you praise God, God will praise you. It is God that you praise that will praise you. He is God of perfection. If you can release, you will receive. When you regularly render thanksgiving and praises unto the Lord, your thanksgiving and praises unto the Lord will never be in vain,” the revered guest speaker assured.

The anniversary featured the official pronouncement of Chief Charles O. Durosaro as new the Baba Ijo of C&S (Oke Ayo) by the minister in charge Prophetess Adeyela. The amiable prophetess commended the new Baba Ijo for his selfless contributions and support to the growth of the church. “I appreciate our new Baba Ijo, Chief Charles Durosaro. May God continue to use you in his vineyard,” she prayed.

Finally, Most Snr. Ap. Mother Pro J.O Adeyela appreciated her late husband and other individuals for their contributions to the church. “My dearest husband, I wish you are here today. When I started the church he stood me. I remember my only sister today, Durorike Adenuola and also Lady Evang. Cecilia Oloyede and Mama Ijo Janet Adesanya. We use this opportunity to thank some people like Otunba Folarin & his beautiful wife, Snr Ap. Hasstrup and his gorgeous wife, Mother Adeyinka Haastrup; Barrister  A.O.S Hodonu.
