HOW THE CHURCH DEFEATED COVID-19: A LOOK AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CHURCH BEYOND THE SPIRITUAL!

Calvary greetings Beloved Ministers of the Gospel and Church leaders!

First, we write to appreciate the grace of God upon all the ministers of God and church leaders in Nigeria and beyond and also commend their steadfastness to God’s calling upon their lives during the period of the lock down of churches due to the ravaging coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic across the world.

Without mincing words, the COVID-19 scourge has adversely affected the Church of God as a Body of Christ all over the world, including Nigeria, with the lock down of churches by authorities in their wisdom to control the spread of the deadly virus. The Church has never experienced this kind of global lock down of churches in recent history. We are again commending all ministers of God and church leaders for their tenacious holding onto their respective divine commission as churches and ministries  in the face of the COVID-19 global threat to the Church of God, its relevance and existence.

Although churches in most countries across the world, including Nigeria, were lock down by authorities, we are not unmindful of the fact that the gates of hell shall never prevail against the continued relevance and existence of the Church of God, no matter what the world throws at the Church, including the COVID-19.

Christian Benefits magazine, as a mouthpiece of the Church, studiously follows the response and activities of churches, specifically Nigerian churches to the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic to the Body of Christ, and we are excited that the pandemic has not prevailed against the Church of God with the series of the commendable activities embarked upon by Nigerian churches, especially beyond the spiritual, to keep the Church of God alive and relevant in this pandemic season.

Christian Benefits with a team of independent editors is sewing together in a book form the many activities of the Nigerian churches during the COVID-19 pandemic: The Book titled, HOW THE CHURCH DEFEATED COVID-19: A Documentary On the Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) of Nigerian Churches over the COVID-19 Pandemic and with the sub: A LOOK AT THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CHURCH BEYOND THE SPIRITUAL is aimed to achieve the following:

  1. To document the response of the Church to the COVID-19 as a reference material for handling of possible global pandemic outbreaks in the future that may again affect the Church specifically, and the society generally.
  2. To encourage churches on their social responsibilities beyond the spiritual.
  3. To correct the wrong impressions of Church “haters and critics” that church leaders are enriching themselves from the tithes/offering of their members, with their ignorance of the behind the scene empowerment and humanitarian works in support of the society poor/less privileged by church leaders.
  4. To celebrate the finished work of our Lord Jesus Christ over all diseases.

We have taken cognizance of the Christian Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of several churches and ministries in Nigeria and beyond in uplifting the less privileged before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. It is therefore our pleasure to showcase in the book what our Lord Jesus Christ is using your church or ministry to impact lives beyond the spiritual.

Therefore, as a minister of God and church leader we invite you to feature your Church Social Responsibility (CRS) activities in the book with the provision of vital information, articles, materials and interviews on your Church CSR efforts or activities for publication in this Holy Spirit inspired book project.

We are looking forward to the kindest support of your ministry in all ramifications towards publishing the book project aimed to further propagate the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and the essence of his life, death and resurrection to mankind through our humble Christian media ministry, Christian Benefits magazine.

Please for your church or ministry participation in the book and other details kindly call: Wole Olarinde: 08180301631 or Peace James: 08031865003

Shalom.

Yours in His Vineyard,

Dr. Wole Olarinde
