Prophet/Evangelist M.A Ayo Alatunse Adegbuyiro is a typical biblical reference of a humble person raise by God from the dunghills and seated among princes. God spotted him in the notorious Ejigbo ghetto, Lagos, where he was a local barber and anointed him as a world revivalist. Today, the humble Prophet Ayo Adegbuyiro from Ikeji Ile, Ijesa, Osun state ranks among the leading end-time global revivalist vigorously exploiting and shaking the world for the salvation of souls.
Prophet/Evangelist M.A Ayo Alatunse Adegbuyiro was born on October 10, 1972 at Ikeji Ile, Ijesa, Osun state into a Christian family of Cherubim & Seraphim (C&S). He had both his primary education (1977-1984) and secondary education (1984-1989) in his Ikeji Ile town. Shortly, after completing his secondary education, Ayo moved to Ibadan, Oyo State, where he engaged in business at the popular Gbagi market in Ibadan. He however had a short spell in business in Ibadan before moving to Lagos in search of the proverbial greener pasture.
On arrival in Lagos, he started his new life in the city as a barber at Ejigbo, Lagos. He had barely adjusted to the new life of Lagos city when he began witnessing the mode of Christianity practice in the city shapely different from the one he grew up with at his Ikeji Ile town as C&S faithful. Ayo was so impressed, particularly with the charismatic worship of the Pentecostal churches, that he eventually stopped attending C&S and started praying to God to direct him to a church that would lead him to eternity in heaven. God answered his prayer when he attended a revival programme of Christ Apostolic Church at their convention ground near his Idimu residence. From there Ayo Adegbuyiro pitched his tent with C.A.C as his new church. And within two months of joining the C.A.C, he received the call of God into ministry. He worked as a barber from 1994 till 1998 when he received the call.
Upon receiving the God to serve the Lord as an evangelist, Ayo Adegbuyiro dusted his book and attended ZOE Theological Seminary in 1996 and graduated with a diploma in theology in 1997. Shortly after his diploma certificate he was formerly ordained as an evangelist in Christ Apostolic Church (C.A.C) worldwide in 1998.
In 2001 Adegbuyiro furthered his theology education at Alive Christian Bible College and obtained his bachelors, masters and PHD degrees in theology. His thirst more education in order to equip himself academically for ministry work remained unquenchable as he processed further to Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education where he obtained NCE Grade 2 certification. In 2002, Ayo Adegbuyiro was fully consecrated a minister at Christ Apostolic Church Arakeji, Osun state.
Prophet/Evang. M.A Ayo Alatunse Adegbuyiro is called by God as a revivalist to go from street to street, city to city, state to state and nation to nation to win souls into the kingdom of God through crusade and revival programme. He proudly informed Christian Benefits that he joined C.A.C through a revival, and it was not out place that no surprise called him as a global revivalist for soul winning.
It is therefore no surprise to many people that Prophet/Evang Ayo Adegbuyiro is ranked among the leading and regular organizers of revival/crusade programmes in Nigeria He is particularly notable in the Ikotun-Idimu axis of Lagos state as a front runner revivalist in that vicinity. Adegbuyiro, who said he cannot estimate the numbers of revivals he organizes yearly as he depends on God’s leading, said the sole focus of his revival is salvation of souls. Aside Jesus Christ as his sole mentor, the humble Prophet Adegbuyiro mentions the now late Apostle Dr. T.O Obadare and his spiritual father Prophet Olu Obafemi as his role models in ministry.
