Pastor Taiye Olayemi has emphasized the critical role of grace in the lives of believers. The general overseer of Ever Increasing Anointing Ministries (ELIAM), Igando, Lagos, in his last Sunday sermon of 2025 to the church congregation, declared 2026 as a year of manifestation of grace.
He drew his sermon from John 1:9-17, highlighting Jesus as the true light, the Word made flesh, full of grace and truth. He also referenced 2 Timothy 2:1, urging the congregation to “be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus,” and noted that one can become weak in grace.
He expressed that grace is practical and not mere theory or talk, but something demonstrable that should show “evidence” and “proof” in a person’s life and operations.
The cleric also pointed out that God works by grace, not by law. “To walk with God, one must understand and operate by His grace and understand how God does His things, not just a physical path. These ways are rooted in grace. Believers must give themselves to ‘know grace’ because it is how God deals with and relates to humanity.
Gaining this knowledge is essential to strengthen oneself and “realign oneself to that grace. Grace is in action. This message primarily focuses on the foundational understanding and practical application of grace in a general sense,” the cleric concluded.
