Apostle Gift Eugene Peters has been consecrated and enthroned the Bishop of Global Evangelical Mission (GEM)by The United Pentecostal College of Bishops to lead in serving and caring for the people as chief pastor, to maintain and further the unity of the church, uphold its disciple and guard its faith among other functions.
Apostle Gift Peters’ consecration and enthronement as Bishop was sequent to the need of a Bishop in Global Evangelical Mission (GEM) as deliberated upon in the church headquarters, Maryland, Lagos, on Sunday 15th September 2024, with a consequent resolution reached that Apostle Gift Eugene Peters, the Senior Pastor and the General Overseer of the church be consecrated and enthroned as Bishop.

Archbishop Dr. Sunday Okokoni, President, The United Pentecostal College of Bishop conducted the consecration and enthronement ceremonies of Apostle Gift Peters as the Bishop of Global Evangelical Mission (GEM) and witnessed by some top notch Christian leaders, including Bishop (Prof.) Stephen Victor Adegbite, Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Lagos chapter, and Archbishop John Osa-Oni, the Archbishop of Vineyard Christian Ministers among others.
Archbishop Okokoni, while presenting the Bishop-elect to the people, said Apostle Gift Eugene Peters is a man of Godly life and sound learning. His words: “Those who have the authority to do so have chosen Apostle Gift Eugene Peters as a man of Godly life and sound learning, to be Bishop in the Church of Christ. To be Bishop-elect, by the authority conferred on us we now release you to the office of a Bishop in the Body of Christ, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,” Archbishop Dr. Sunday Okokoni pronounced.

The President of The United Pentecostal College of Bishops thereon prophetically charged the new Bishop, Gift Eugene Peters to go on to the new spiritual heights and enter the realm of the spirit that he could not enter before now. “Let walls begin to break down before you, and barrier continue to give way for you. May your calling and ministry be without wall and know no bound. Do what you could not do before now and fulfill the call of God upon your life in Jesus name, amen, the Archbishop prayed for the new Bishop, Gift Peters to a resounding amen by the congregants.

Evang. Mrs. Mary Gift Peters, the wife of the newly consecrated and enthroned Bishop felicitated with her husband and prayed God cover him with special grace and favour as he begins his Episcopal assignments. Her words: I felicitate with my dear beloved husband and Apostle on this auspicious day of your consecration and enthronement into the office of a Bishop. Almighty God, please cover my husband with your special grace and favour as he begins his Episcopal assignments May your wisdom guide his thoughts and decisions, strengthen him with your might for the task ahead, and envelope him in peace in Jesus name,” she prayed.

Apostle Tonye Oliver, President, Jesus Heal the Sick Ministries, who disclosed that Apostle Gift has been a great friend and brother for almost three decades remarked that new Bishop is a man of relationship and conviction. “Apostle Gift is intensively loyal, a very true friend, brutally honest and very true and faithful to his relationship and convictions. One of the things I have noticed over the years is how open he is to the Holy Spirit willing to adjust in the light of greater understanding and revelation. He is man of great faith, strength of character and single mindedness, nothing double minded or hypocritical about him. He says what he believes but with this almost apologetic humility.
Oliver, also the Publicity Secretary/Director, Digital Media of PFN Lagos, stated further: “Everyone who has know the Apostle over the years will be able to attest to one thing at least, his commitment to the vision he has received from the Lord. You can see that in the way he organizes, trains his people, and reminds himself and those who care to listen what GEM is all about, I join all his family, friends and associates in life and ministry to celebrate a friend, brother, a true servant of God and a Bishop of God’s people Apostle Gift Peters.” Apostle Oliver remarked.
Pastor Mrs. Fidelia Okoh-Ojemhen, Founder/Senior Minister, Lamb of God Evangelical Mission was among other church and christian leaders that also feciliated with Apostle Gift Peters on both his enthronement to the office of Bishop and on his 55th birthday celebration.
