Folusho Babasola advises Nigerians on kindness as Living Life, Charlotte support widows

Pastor Folusho Babasola has enjoined Nigerians to show kindness to one another, particularly to the less privileged with a joyful heart. She stated this at the second year anniversary of Living Life International Tabernacle, Surulere, Lagos, which featured sharing of palliative items and Ankara material with free healthcare to some widows and others by the church in conjunction with Charlotte Folusho Foundation.

Pastor Mrs. Babasola, the President of Charlotte Folusho Foundation and widow of the late founder of Living Life International Tabernacle, the late Rev. Dr. Ayokunle Babasola, told Christian Benefits that the joyful kindness the bodies shown to the widows and others  at the event was in keeping faith with the vision of both Living Life International Tabernacle and Charlotte Folusho Foundation birthed by late her husband, Ayokunle Babasola, whom she said lived a life of kindness with a joyful heart to people till his transition to glory.“I keep the faith. I keep impacting lives. I help people with tuition fees. I’m glad when I’m able to put smile on people’s faces. That’s why the motto of Charlotte Folusho Foundation is Little Kindness, Joyful Heart. When you show little kindness to people, you lift off their burdens and they would be happy. They would not have suicidal tendencies. They would not feel dejected; at least somebody somewhere is showing love to them. So far so good, God has been faithful. I can only thank him that I am still alive by His grace and mercy, which has always been working for me” Mrs. Babasola exclusively explained to Christian Benefits.

 Pastor Gbenga Aguda, Senior Pastor of Living Life International Tabernacle said the mandate of the church  is to build capacity for God’s Kingdom. “Living Life International Tabernacle clocks 2 years today. The founder of the church was Rev. Dr. Ayokunle Babasola (J.P) now late. We continue the kingdom’s work and the mandate of the church on its second year anniversary by giving a palliative support to some residents in our community at Baba Animasahun, Surulere, Lagos. We shared some palliative items to the residents, looking at the present harsh economy of our nation. God has given us the ability to impact our community with the word of God, and also with palliative support to families in these challenging times,” Aguda explained.

He said the mandate of Living Life International Tabernacle is to build capacity for God’s kingdom in this world, preach the gospel and engage the younger ones still growing, particularly from the devil’s kingdom to the kingdom of God. “That is the reason the ministry is named the Living Life International Tabernacle. We believe that life is what Christ called for. Christ has given us life. In him there is life. That is why we give life through the gospel to our people and community and also develop their human capacity as Christ did for us. That’s what the Living Life International Tabernacle is all about; building capacity, meeting the needs of people, getting ideas from people and bringing them together for the kingdom of God,” he explained.

Aguda further disclosed that Living Life  Tabernacle International holds a quarterly programme within her community to impact the residents despite that its founder is late. “It has not been easy but God has been there for us. The wife of the founder, Pastor Mrs Folusho Babasola has also been the supporting engine for the church in terms of finance and other supports. We have overcome some challenges. In April next year 2024 the programme will be bigger such that we would be able to share motor cycles, grinding machines and other empowerment tools to the people. We will also organize raffle draws. We believe that when we give empowerment to the people, at the end of the day, they will give their lives to Christ”he envisaged.

Prophetess Elizabeth Ogundaisi, the guest speaker, advised people to be thankful to God always for the fact that they are still alive. She said it was not their doing that they are still alive today but the mercy of God. Her words: “We want to appreciate God Almighty for giving us the grace to be alive. It is not the doing of anyone. It is the mercy of God. We are not better than those who are dead. Therefore, I enjoin us to be thankful to God from the depth of our hearts. We are here today because we know we are going to meet God here. So, please, in your heart of heart, thank God that you are able to eat; that you are able to drink” the prophetess advised.Some of the widow beneficiaries of the Living Life Tabernacle International/Charlotte Folusho Foundation’s palliative support also shared their thoughts with Christian Benefits on the gesture extended to them. Madam Aderibigbe, a widow of 23 years with two children said she used to cook food as means of livelihood until she stopped cooking due to her health. “I really appreciate Living Life Tabernacle International and Charlotte Folusho Foundation for the palliative food items, a piece of Ankara and the free health care they gave to us widows. I pray God will help them too as they have helped us widows,” Mama Aderibigbe prayed.

Sister Charity, a young widow of seven years with three kids said she used to work in a ‘mama put’ canteen for survival until the proprietress told her to leave during the cashless period. “When I left the mama put joint, this church gave me some money to start business. Unfortunately, the business crashed within three months. I couldn’t account for the money. Presently I work with LAWMAN, I pray God will .continue to bless and lift the church and the foundation for helping us,” she prayed

Mrs. Christabel Eme a widow of 27 years with two children shares her story” “I was a banker when my husband died. The bank later liquidated and I furthered my education at the University of Lagos (UNILAG). I was to be re-absorbed by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) but for politics. I worked with an NGO (Human Rights). After 10 years the founder disappeared with our funds. I became stranded with my children but God is faithful helping us. It’s good I’m alive to tell the story. When my husband died, the family abandoned the children and me. They collected his property. They didn’t even call us till my children graduated and got married. Charlotte Folusho Foundation is a very good one. I wish I can partner with them.”

Elder Bola Badiru says. “It’s almost 10 years I have been a widow with three kids. My experience as a widow isn’t tough because my husband was a very loving and kind man. I can’t query God for what happened. In everything we should always give thanks. I thank God that I have not lacked. God has been faithful to me.  I’m a retired civil servant, I have been getting support from where I worship, The Good Shepherd Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). They have been taking care of me. I was formerly a Muslim before I met Jesus Christ. Since I gave my life to Jesus Christ I have been enjoying it. The support from Charlotte Folusho Foundation is very fantastic. Most times I also render help to people. I don’t want to depend on the fact that I am a widow. I don’t answer that I’m a widow.”

Rev. Dr. Glory Akpabio, Lagos PFN women’s wing coordinator and who assisted in administering the free health care to the widows and other participants at the event discloses: “Pastor Folusho Babasola is Lagos PFN women’s wing secretary. She’s in my team in Lagos PFN women’s wing. This made it convenient for me to be part of she is doing supporting; widows and the needy. I’m here to support and encourage her and her Charlotte Folusho Foundation,” Rev. Dr. Gloria Akpabio remarked
