In a world searching for meaning, one voice rose with clarity from a small town in Ngor-okpala local government area of Imo state, Nigeria. A voice not forged by fame or fortune, but of faith fashioned from
Scriptures and shaped by trials.

From a very humble beginning, Dr. Chris Ekeh has emerged not just as a leader, but as a servant, a shepherd, and a light out of the darkness that ravaged his progenitors.

This is the story of a life totally surrendered to God’s call—a journey marked by unwavering conviction, radical love, and a passion to lead others toward the heart of Christ, and by so doing, he has touched the lives of countless seekers across the globe.

Guided by an unshakable inner calling, his life’s journey is not just a story of personal transformation, but a roadmap for awakening, healing, and hope to everyone who has been hit hard by their own fair share of life’s turbulence.

This is the story of a spiritual leader and a survivor whose presence speaks louder than words, and whose teachings echo in the hearts of listeners long after the words have been spoken.

Born on the 18th day of July 1975 right here in the city of Lagos to the family of Mr. Ajagba Ekeh, who later relocated to Onuasata in Enugu
state, a place that wasn’t pleasing for a child’s survival, nonetheless, this was where Dr. Chris Ekeh formally grew up and had his primary and secondary school education at the St. Bridges Primary school O’Connor Street Asata Enugu, and the Ugwuaji Community secondary school respectively, where he spent only but two years in the latter because of his parents inability to pay for his school fees.

Spurned by the struggles of his then-current reality, the young Chris Ekeh chose to begin fending for himself, and in the same vein extended that noble gesture to solving the financial problems of his family as much as he could by pushing wheelbarrow at Ogbeté main market in Enugu state, and as if that wasn’t enough, he extended his venture by also picking up scraps and aluminum foils for sale, all in a bid to save up money to pay for his fees and to cater for other family demands.

In the midst of all of these personal and family struggles, while his mates were engrossed in worldly exuberance, the young Christopher – Ekeh found Jesus and got born again on the 23rd day of February 1991, and was sold out completely to the propagation of the kingdom of God on earth by equipping himself with the word of God. For starters, he joined the missionary team of the Scripture Union of Nigeria, Enugu chapter, as well as the Evangelical Fellowship in Anglican Communion (EFAC) as a prayer team member where he acquired his first and formal training in the ways of prayer.

While he was in Ugwuaji Community Secondary School, without prior knowledge of the great work that divinity had destined for him in the future, Christopher Ekeh as he was called then became the founder and president of the school fellowship from 1991 to 1992 – This would later become his first training as a spiritual leader under the tutelage of Bishop Bona Ozobu, who was the pastor and founder of Rhema Bible Church in Enugu state.

Fast forward to 1995, Dr. Chris Ekeh was called into ministry after attending Victory International Bible College Enugu from the 4th of September 1995 through to the 19th of July 1997, and there he obtained a Certificate of Ministry and Diploma in Theology. Dr. Chris Ekeh would later relocate to Lagos by divine direction and Providence, where his last stop was the Maza-maza bus stop.

Having no idea where he was at the time, and with the help of some kind Strangers that he met at the park, he was taken to Victory Christian Church where he stayed a little while before he was able to locate the house of one of his uncles, and after a little stint with him, he moved on to living with a family at Tincan Island Estate Apapa who supported and stood by him before he left them in 1998 to build the vision that God had given him, meanwhile, this phase of his life didn’t just come to be without it’s ups and downs.

Despite the early challenges that he encountered in his educational pursuit, Dr Chris Ekeh never allowed that to cloud the glorious future that was ahead of him, he got himself ready early enough with every form of education he could ganer, many of which came from the street, and even as a grown man, he enrolled himself into extra moral classes and sat for the 2004/2005 GCE examination and came out in flying colors which then enabled him to process his admission into the Lagos state University to study History & International Relations.

While in Lagos, he also undertook several courses at the Word of Faith Bible Institute (WOFBI) at Raji Oba in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos – there he ran several programs and obtained various certifications ranging from diploma certificates to leadership certificates, and so on.

It would seem like he had life all figured out after all of these trainings, but in reality, it was the beginning of a new journey filled with purpose, love, commitment, betrayal, several scares, battles, and above all victories!

With all that he has accomplished up until this day, you can easily tell that Dr. Chris Ekeh was never one who followed the crowd; whether it was about chasing his dreams, breaking norms, questioning the status quo, or forging his own path, he has always stood out – not just for what he does, but for how he does it, bearing that bold and passionate touch of magic.

Known for his infectious smile, kind heart, and unstoppable drive, Dr. Chris Ekeh has a way of turning everyday moments into unforgettable memories, he lights up every room he enters with energy, and stands solidly by those he calls his own through thick and thin, while also chasing his dreams with unflinching focus, unmatched grit, and fearless determination – and it will surprise you how well he does all of these simultaneously with so much Grace and passion.

It is also important to note that Dr. Chris is not a local champion when it comes to ministry, nor is he one who is limited within the boundaries of Nigeria because in the course of discharging the great assignment that divinity had committed to him, he has made several international trips on apostolic visits to different parts of the world, some of which are the United States of America, China, the United Kingdom to mention a few. It will also interest you to know that Dr. Chris Ekeh became a certified Jerusalem pilgrim in the year 2007 when he made an apostolic visit to Israel (the base of our Christian belief), and by extension, he fulfilled a lifelong spiritual desire.

Over the years, Dr. Chris Ekeh has worn so many hats while also accomplishing so much for himself, from personal accomplishments both in ministry and as a family-oriented man, to simply being an inspiration to so many around him. He has been a darling husband to pastor Chioma Ekeh his wife, a great father to Daniel, Daniella and King David his children, a solid friend to his acquaintances and ministers alike, a wonderful spiritual leader to his congregation both home andabroad, a skilled warrior in the ways of battle, a deep thinker who questions popular narratives, an artist who draws his inspiration from a realm beyond the natural, a terror to his enemies any time and any day, and also a fashionista who drips royalty in every attire he dawns.

Dr. Chris Ekeh is also a seasoned writer and author, and he has communicated some of his lived experiences and encounters with God in the books that he has written over the years, books such as “The Realities Of Your Tomorrow”, “Breaking Old Orders”, “Living As  Sons”, “Discover Your Star” to mention but a few. I can guarantee you that words that are captured in his books are not only read, they are felt, and they become that little voice that inspires inner transformation, and guide readers on a journey back to stillness, truth, and the light within them.

So, with all that we have come to know of him to this day, it is expediently clear that Dr. Chris Ekeh was born not just to exist but to live deeply, intentionally, and unapologetically. So today isn’t just about another candle on the cake, but it is the celebration of a story laced with strength of character, growth, resilience, laughter, and all the memories that have shaped the incredible life and journey of Dr. Chris Ekeh, and even if the pages of his future are unwritten yet, if the past is any indication to go by, then we are certain that the future is bound to be brighter than what we can currently see both in and around him.’
