Prayer and Intercession School (PIS), an affiliate of Bethel Christian University, Kansas USA has awarded doctoral honor to some distinguished ministers of God that include Apostle Mike Honor Akinyoade; a Lagos PFN officer, Apostle Bolaji Akinyemi, convener of the Apostolic Round Table, Bishop Mark Enahi-Aku Omonze and other respected preachers. The honorary doctoral award presentation held at Lagos Travel Inn, Lagos, also featured ordination of some other ministers as Apostle by the novel prayer school.

The Provost of the school, Dr. Theophilous Taiwo Ajose in his welcome address at the presentation ceremony, said Prayer and Intercession school (PIS) was birthed by a vision to train ministers called by God into prayer and intercession ministry.

Describing Prayer and Intercession School as an uncommon interdenominational school of prayer & intercession, Ajose explained that the school was duly affiliated to Bethel Christian University, Kansas U.S, after some thorough investigations and approval by the reputable and front line Christian university in the United States.

Ajose said when he visited Bethel Christian University in the U.S for affiliation of the school to the university, its chancellor; Dr. Bob Harding said he had never heard of School of Prayer and Intercession. “I told him all things started one day. The university studied and investigated the school curriculum; even visited Nigeria and investigated me before it approved the school’s affiliation to the university.”

The provost described the ministers selected by the school for its honorary doctoral award and ordination as apostle as worthy ambassadors of the gospel. In his charge to the awardees and the ordained, he told them to be proud of the honors conferred on them by the school. He explained that some ministers without the basic academic qualifications are worthy of doctoral award as an authority in their area of ministry.

“By the virtue of their experience and long years of service in their area of calling or ministry, some ministers are worthy of doctoral award as an authority in their calling. Some of you may not possess the basic  academic perquisites for the award of a doctorate degree but as an authority in your respective areas of calling or ministry you are considered worthy of the honorary doctoral award of Prayer and Intercession School,” he explained

Bishop Ajose also explained to the ministers ordained by the school as apostle that with the apostolic oil poured upon them at the event they have been specially picked, anointed and empowered by God to reach out to the world with the gospel, and should be proud to introduce themselves by their title anywhere they are.

“Be proud of your title. Introduce yourself by your title anywhere before you are introduced. Don’t allow anyone despise you or your little beginning because God has specially elected and ordained you into this office. God bye-passes protocols to honor His elects. Don’t judge yourself by what people are saying about you. From today, your position will change. Your respect by people will change because the Holy Spirit has come upon you and nobody can cage the Holy Spirit. You are no longer the same person. You have become extraordinary,” the provost charged them

Also, Dr. Bob Harding, the chancellor/chairman, governing council of Prayer and Intercession School (PIS), in his speech streamed at the event heartily congratulated both the honorary doctoral awardees and the ordained apostles and enjoined them to be more dedicated in their works for the Lord and the cause of the gospel.
