This year&#8217;s theme, &#8220;Enforcing Your Victory Over Forces of Darkness,&#8221; frames the fast less as a plea and more as a stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The message is rooted in two scriptures: John 1:5, which declares that light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it, and Ephesians 5:8, which urges believers to walk as children of light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The imagery of the programme carries the same idea: a figure with raised fists against a golden sunrise, broken chains falling away.
