I am Rev. Olusumbo Idowu Sangogade, JP, born into an Anglican Christian family of the late Chief and Mrs. Gabriel Sangogade. I joined the Apostolic Church of Christ in 1984 and have remained there to date. I started as a chorister, later became Assistant Choir Director, then Music Director, a Deacon, an Elder and now a Reverend. All glory belongs to God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tell us about The Victory Singers; its vision, mission, and role in advancing the Gospel through music.<\/strong>
The Victory Singers is the choir arm of the Apostolic Church of Christ, Oke-Isegun, Apostle Mobolaji Missionary Cathedral. We play our role by leading the congregation in worship and praise to the Lord while proclaiming the salvation of Jesus Christ to the nooks and crannies of the world through music. By God’s grace, the choir has continued to contribute immensely to the growth of the Church.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year’s theme, “Praises for His Mercy,” is to thank God for His abundant mercies over our lives and to praise Him so that we may continue to receive His mercy in every area of our lives even after the anniversary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This anniversary is particularly significant because we cannot count the numerous blessings God has bestowed upon us over the years. It is another opportunity to appreciate His faithfulness, goodness and mercy.
What should worshippers and other attendees expect from this year’s anniversary programme?<\/strong>
People should expect God’s mercy over their needs and requests if they worship and praise Him wholeheartedly throughout the programme. We believe God will visit everyone according to their faith.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The choice of Prophet (Dr.) Bukola Opadotun, JP, as this year’s guest speaker was based on the directive of God through the Holy Spirit. We believe God has prepared him with a timely message for this year’s celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In many ways, God has used The Victory Singers through our music ministry to strengthen and uphold the faith of believers and the congregation. One remarkable testimony occurred about two weeks before the release of the abducted Oyo State pupils and teachers. During one of our ministrations, the Holy Spirit revealed to the Church that the Lord had released the victims. Since their abduction, The Victory Singers had taken it upon themselves to offer special worship and praise for their safe release. Their eventual freedom further strengthened our faith in God’s faithfulness and His ability to answer prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The leadership principles that have sustained us include leading by example, carrying every member along, prioritising the spiritual growth and welfare of members, and giving them opportunities to showcase their God-given talents. These principles have helped us maintain unity, commitment and continuity in the ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My message is for everyone to come in faith because God has many good and greater blessings in store for all who seek Him. He is ready to meet everyone at the point of their needs through His mercy if they come with one heart to sincerely praise and worship Him.
