Lagos Apostolic Conference 2026 Calls Church Back to \u2018Sent\u2019 Christianity<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The maiden edition of the Lagos Apostolic Conference 2026 has ended with a strong call for the healing of the Church through a return to Apostolic Christianity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two-day gathering, held on April 8 and 9 in Lagos, was organised by the International Network of Apostolic Christianity under the theme, \u201cReigniting the Fire of Apostolic Christianity.\u201d Ministers, church leaders and believers from different parts of the region attended the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Delivering the opening charge, Pastor Leke Akinola, President of Leave to Cleave Ministries and Director of the International Network of Apostolic Voices (INAV), said the conference was designed to move beyond terminology and focus on scriptural truth and alignment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apostle Tonye Oliver, International Director of INAV, in the first keynote address, explained Apostolic Christianity from John 20:21, where Jesus said, \u201cAs the Father has sent me, even so I send you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, the word apostolic is derived from the Greek word apostolos, meaning \u201csent one,\u201d describing a messenger commissioned to represent the authority, values and mandate of the sender.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Apostolos cannot speak for himself or act on his own account. His assignment is singular: to represent the One who sent him. This is the pattern Jesus modeled, and the pattern He commanded the Church to replicate,\u201d Oliver said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other speakers at the conference included Rev. Stella Jack, Dr. Eleazar Ulinfun, Apostle Joshua Olaoye and Apostle Greg Atiyota, who all ministered on various aspects of the theme. Organisers said the event was more than a conference, describing it as a rallying cry for believers seeking revival in the nation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The International Network of Apostolic Christianity said it remains committed to restoring Apostolic doctrine, culture and practice in the Body of Christ through teaching, training and strategic gatherings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
