Apostle Ademola Elisha Olatoyosi, founder of World Apostolic Evangelical Revival Church, has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will secure re-election in 2027, declaring that Nigeria’s breakup is unrealistic while restructuring is inevitable. In this exclusive interview with Christian Benefits Magazine, the cleric discusses his conversion from Islam to Christianity, his ministry’s challenging beginnings, his prophetic mandate, and his predictions for Nigeria’s political future and the Nigerian Church. Excerpts below

How would you like to be introduced to our readers?

Actually, I was called into the office of a prophet until 2008, when I was returning from Olorun Kole Prayer Mountain when the Lord instructed me that, henceforth, I should stop bearing the title “Prophet” and instead bear the title “Apostle Ademola Elisha Olatoyosi.”

How long have you been in the ministry?

I give glory to God because I come from a Muslim background, and it has been 36 years since I gave my life to Jesus Christ. Specifically, I accepted Christ in 1989. However, by 1990, my salvation was perfected when God started speaking to me, giving me directions and instructions, and called me as a prophet to stand in the gap for people being tormented by witchcraft and deliver them. That was how and when my ministry began in 1990.

Share with us your experience after your conversion from Islam to Christianity.

My mother dealt with me for eight whole years because I converted from Islam to Christianity. Throughout those years, she beat me almost every blessed night because I was attending Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Eleta, Ibadan.

In 1997, she returned me to my father, from whom she had separated. She told me that my father wanted to see me. When I got to my father’s house, he told me to start sleeping there. He explained that my mother wanted him to beat me for attending church.

Ironically, instead of beating me as my mother desired, my father made a statement over my life that has kept me in the Christian faith to this day. He said, “I give God glory because you have chosen the right way.”

That was how I continued living with my father until he passed away on March 3, 2000, even though he remained a Muslim. Those words he spoke over my life have been a powerful force sustaining me in the faith to this day.

He told me that my mother wanted him to beat me and ensure that I died in his house, but he was not prepared to do so. Worldly people know the secrets of the world. It was years later that I recalled and understood why my father had told me, despite being a Muslim, that he gave God glory because I had chosen the right way.

I was raised in a polygamous Muslim family. Therefore, apart from my father, I experienced severe persecution from many members of my family because of my conversion from Islam to Christianity. However, I give glory to God for my father’s words over my life. He encouraged me to continue walking in the Christian faith, even though he was a Muslim, until he passed on.

When you accepted Christ 36 years ago, who were those who groomed you in the Christian faith?

I am sorry to say this, not out of pride, but nobody groomed me in the Christian faith. I was actually groomed, trained, and developed by the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit took complete hold of me, so strongly that I could not, in ordinary human terms, understand or explain what I was doing as a new and young believer at the time. All I knew was that the Holy Spirit was directing me to church and giving me instructions and guidance, just as Jesus was led into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit, as recorded in Matthew 4:1.

Therefore, no single human being can claim to have groomed me in the Christian faith. I am a complete product of the Holy Spirit. Nobody preached to me and won my soul for Christ. Consequently, I cannot point to anyone as my mentor or role model in the Christian faith after I accepted Christ.

What specifically informed your interest in going to church despite your Muslim background?

As I have said, it was the Spirit that led me to attend church. It all started when I attended CAC, Eleta, Ibadan, with a group of friends in December 1989.

To the glory of God, I am the only member of that group who has continued attending church from then until now. Unfortunately, I faced hell from my family members and many friends because I chose to attend church.

Today, however, I give glory to God because many of my family members have also become born-again Christians, including my eldest sister, who is now a pastor, just like me.

I am the last child of my mother among her seven children. My elder sister, who also pastors a church now, is the fifth child.

Please share with us how you eventually received the call to ministry and the specific mandate of that calling.

As I said earlier, I cannot explain precisely how I received the call to ministry. However, all I can say is that from the day I started going to church, the power of God rested mightily upon me, and I began having dreams, many of which showed me delivering people from the torments of witchcraft.

As I continued going to church, the Spirit of God kept growing within me. Since then, I have continued to pray for hours, an act I never saw or witnessed in either of my parents.

In addition, whenever I was in church, I danced like King David in the Bible. To this day, I love dancing for the Lord. My zeal for dancing for the Lord is so great that nobody can beat me at it.

When specifically did you start the ministry?

The ministry began in 2002 after I had moved from one church to another. As I said earlier, I faced many challenges from my siblings, especially my elder brothers, and my mother because of my conversion from Islam to Christianity.

As a result, I had nobody within the family with whom I could share my thoughts. My mother always took my siblings’ side.

In 2002, I attempted to start a church, but it did not work out. I tried again in 2004, but that attempt also failed. At that point, I gave up on starting a church because I could not kill myself over it.

I made these two attempts to start a church secretly because none of my siblings wanted to hear anything about it. They hated me for no other reason than my decision to attend church, and they did not even want to hear that I intended to start one.

As a result, I had no friends and often stayed indoors, keeping to myself.

In 2005, while I was praying, the Lord instructed me to undertake a three-day white fast. On the third day, as I was returning from the place where I had observed the fast, I was struggling in the spirit and seeking a warehouse where I could start a church.

The Lord told me that a particular pastor would call me immediately. Just as the Lord had said, the pastor called me. I was shocked. That was how I joined the pastor in his ministry.

After some months, the Lord told me that He had not instructed me to remain with that pastor. He said He had only raised the pastor to deliver a message to me. He had used the pastor as a messenger, not as someone I was meant to serve.

Subsequently, I eventually started a church successfully in 2006.

Share with us the humble beginnings of the church in 2006 and how far the Lord has brought it today.

As a prophet, not every experience can be shared or disclosed publicly. The office of a prophet is a very tasking one.

There was a period when we survived on fish that we picked from gutters. I would instruct the sons of the prophet who were with me to go and catch fish in nearby gutters for us to eat and sustain ourselves. We would also pluck vegetable leaves from around the area and use them to prepare soup with the fishes we had caught.

That was during the period when we established a prayer mountain at Lafenwa, Ogun State. We struggled unsuccessfully to sustain the mountain until we eventually lost it.

I have faced many unspeakable challenges in the ministry.

What sustained you through these unspeakable challenges?

The only factor is the grace of God.

From 2017 to 2021, we ran the church under canopies. Whenever it rained, the wind would blow the canopies away, even while we were holding services. We would all be drenched and soaked by the rain during our programmes.

It often took at least three hefty men to hold the canopies down whenever it rained during a service.

Previously, we operated the church under a power line at Idimu in a makeshift wooden-plank structure. The government eventually demolished the structure, along with other buildings constructed under the power line.

We relocated the church to a space along Governor Road, Ikotun, where the wind and rain frequently blew the canopies away while we were holding services. On one occasion, the wind blew our canopies into the next compound. To this day, they have never been returned to us.

I give glory to God for how far He has brought us today.

Tell us how you arrived at the name of the ministry and its mandate

I received the name during a period of fervent prayer in 2006. I was lying on the floor praying when I received the name World Apostolic Evangelical Revival Church. Initially, I used the word “Outreach,” but that was rejected during registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

God gave me the name of the ministry and its logo in a dream during that period. The logo even caused a problem during a printing job because it was incorrectly designed, and the printing machine declined to print the job.

When my attention was drawn to the issue, I saw that the logo had been designed wrongly. I pointed out the error to the printer, and after it was corrected, the job was eventually printed with the logo properly represented.

I do not copy anyone. God gave me the name of the church and its logo. He also gave me the name of the ministry’s prayer mountain.

The mandate of my ministry is revival, evangelism, and soul-winning. My commission handles the unbelievable, and my joy is that God has never failed me in this mandate.

God categorically told me that all the challenges I had experienced in the ministry were for my empowerment. He said those challenges were not spiritual attacks; rather, He had allowed them to bring me to maturity.

He told me that I was not mature enough when I started the ministry. Therefore, He allowed those challenges to empower me and bring me to maturity in ministry. He specifically emphasised that I needed those situations to bend me towards maturity in the ministry.

It was not any spiritual father who told or explained this to me. I read many spiritual books authored by accomplished preachers. God allowed me to read those books but emphasised that He would grow and build me in His own way.

He told me that He wanted to show me and teach me certain lessons through the various challenges He had allowed me to experience in the ministry.

Tell us what your monthly prayer programme at Foursquare Gospel Church Camp, Orisunbare, is all about.

The programme is designed to free people from bondage and captivity, and we have recorded remarkable testimonies.

For instance, a particular woman was brought to the meeting by the hand because one of her eyes was blind. To the glory of God, after encountering God at the meeting, her blind eye was completely healed and she walked back home on her own without difficulty because she could now see clearly with both eyes.

We have recorded several other testimonies of healing, deliverance, restoration, salvation, and, more significantly, the blessing of children for couples who had been expecting them.

Several people in the diaspora who participate in the meetings online have also shared profound testimonies of what the Lord has done in their lives in different locations overseas.

There is another testimony involving a woman who attended a meeting at our Lafenwa prayer mountain while experiencing an issue of blood. I prayed over a sachet of water for her, and she drank it. According to her testimony, the bleeding stopped immediately, to the glory of God.

We now hold the meeting every second Friday at Foursquare Gospel Church Camp, Orisunbare, Idimu, Lagos. We are planning to move the programme to our permanent property very soon.

Apart from this monthly programme, what other programmes does your ministry organise to impact lives?

We also hold a weekly programme called Power of Redemption every Wednesday at our church off Governor Road, Ikotun, Lagos.

Except when I am outside Nigeria, I am always present at this Wednesday programme for one-on-one prayer, deliverance, healing, and counselling with participants.

It is a prophetic programme that runs from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon. We have received several and diverse testimonies from this programme as well.

There is a testimony involving a woman to whom God revealed during the programme that another woman had borrowed a dress from her with the intention of using it for a diabolical purpose. According to the revelation, the alleged plan was to harm her and cause her to lose all her children in exchange for the other woman having children of her own.

When the woman who owned the dress confronted the borrower with the revelation, the borrower admitted and confessed to the alleged plan to kill her three children so that she could have children of her own.

The programme, as we have experienced it, reveals and exposes hidden secrets.

How would you describe the progress of the church so far in 2026?

God has put laughter in our mouths beyond our expectations this year, 2026. God has performed many inexplicable miracles, signs, and wonders in our ministry this year.

Although the Lord instructed you to bear the title Apostle, you appear to operate more in the prophetic as your principal calling. As a prophet to the nation, what is your take on Nigeria’s current situation?

At every crossover into a new year, we release annual prophecies concerning God’s mind for Nigeria and other nations in the new year.

Most of the prophecies God gave me concerning Nigeria for 2026 have come to pass. We have all the prophecies documented.

One thing is very certain: Nigeria cannot separate, but it will be restructured. Nigeria’s separation is unrealistic, but its restructuring is inevitable.

Currently, the restructuring of Nigeria is being processed and planned in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, by those in positions of power from the nation’s various ethnic and regional divides. Therefore, Nigeria’s restructuring is inevitable in the long run, while those who fear and canvass the country’s separation will be disappointed because Nigeria will never divide.

God categorically told me that there would be no separation in Nigeria but that there would be restructuring.

The menace of Fulani herdsmen will soon be forgotten forever in Nigeria. The Hausas will soon rise against the Fulanis and reclaim their rightful place and position in Nigeria. The Hausas are the only people who know the secrets and strength of the Fulanis.

All these prophecies are documented in our ministry, and our members are already aware of them.

Regarding the 2027 election, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will definitely be re-elected. There is nothing anyone can do about it, except if he is not the will of God for this country.

Nigeria should continue praying because other nations of the world will soon be rushing to Nigeria. President Tinubu has come to lay the foundation for a prosperous Nigeria that will attract other nations of the world.

He has come to destroy the stronghold of the cabal over Nigeria’s progress and prosperity. He has already dislodged many of those holding the nation down and dragging it backwards. He will complete the job in his second term.

The United States, the United Kingdom, and other major nations will be begging Nigeria for resources, capacity, and support in the near future.

The next president after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in 2031, will take Nigeria to the next level. If Nigerians in the diaspora invest in the country, their villages will soon become towns.

European countries will be coming to Nigeria to solicit support, cooperation, and partnership because Nigeria’s glory is returning massively.

God is interested in the affairs of Nigeria. He is interested in the progress and prosperity of this nation. He chooses the leaders of this country for different seasons. Nobody can become Nigeria’s leader without God’s approval. No Nigerian leader can succeed in moving the country forward except those ordained and approved by God to lead the country.

What is your prophetic assessment of the state of the Nigerian Church?

Regarding the state of the Nigerian Church and prophecy, I will be specific about Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), as the Lord has revealed to me.

Beginning in 2027 and continuing until 2033, Christ Apostolic Church will completely regain its lost glory.

By 2033, CAC will become the strongest church in Nigeria and beyond, with numerous renovations and developments being driven largely by the church’s youth.

By that time, CAC will have outgrown and surpassed the era of the late Apostle Joseph Ayodele Babalola.

The glory of God will come afresh upon Christ Apostolic Church, renewed and stronger.
