2026 Benefits Awards for Missionary Excellence (BAME)
Award for Distinguished Leadership Capacity

Pastor Cyril Azobu is an accomplished Nigerian professional, respected Christian leader and mentor whose journey exemplifies the integration of professional excellence, Christian faith, integrity and purposeful service. With over three decades of professional experience and more than four decades of dedicated Christian ministry, he represents an inspiring model of leadership bridging the corporate world and the Church.

He is a Partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) Nigeria, with over 30 years of experience in business advisory, consulting, accounting and assurance services across the public and private sectors. His expertise spans strategic advisory, enterprise transformation, infrastructure and capital projects, technology consulting, finance, operations and organisational development.

A specialist in the Energy, Utilities and Resources sector, he serves as PwC Nigeria’s Mining Industry Leader, Energy, Utilities and Resources Assurance Business Unit Leader, and Business Continuity and IMT Leader. He also chairs the PwC Nigeria Editorial Board.

Through these strategic leadership responsibilities, he contributes to professional excellence, institutional resilience, industry development and the advancement of Nigeria’s economic potential, particularly within the energy and solid minerals sectors. His professional journey demonstrates the importance of competence, ethical leadership, strategic thinking and responsible stewardship in building sustainable institutions.

His commitment to continuous learning is reflected in his academic and professional credentials. He holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Lagos and is an alumnus of Yale University, USA, and the Gordon Institute of Business Science, South Africa. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, the Nigerian Institute of Training and Development, the Institute of Management Consultants, Nigeria, and the Nigeria Leadership Initiative.

Beyond his corporate career, Pastor Azobu has demonstrated an enduring commitment to Christian ministry, spiritual leadership and the transformation of lives.

He is the Lead Pastor and General Overseer of Christ For All Mission (CFAM Church), headquartered in Oke-Afa, Isolo, Lagos. Having served in various capacities for over 40 years, he assumed pastoral leadership in 2020 following the passing of the founding Bishop, the late Bishop Roland O. Ike, in September 2019. His emergence as leader marked a significant transition, demonstrating faithful service, leadership preparation and purposeful succession.

Under his leadership, CFAM Church has continued to evolve and expand its ministry impact, with renewed emphasis on evangelism, intentional discipleship, youth and young-adult engagement, leadership development and the strategic use of multimedia platforms for advancing the Gospel.

Central to his ministerial philosophy is the conviction that the Church must go beyond winning converts to intentionally raising mature, spiritually grounded and socially relevant disciples of Jesus Christ. He champions biblical teaching, mentoring and spiritual formation as foundations for equipping believers to influence their generation.

He is particularly passionate about engaging younger generations through authentic relationships, relevant biblical teaching and transformative spiritual experiences, while maintaining fidelity to the timeless truths of Scripture.

Pastor Azobu is also a passionate advocate of Kingdom influence in the marketplace, challenging Christian professionals to regard their careers, businesses and spheres of influence as platforms for demonstrating godly values and advancing God’s Kingdom. He believes Christian faith should find practical expression in integrity, competence, excellence, ethical conduct and positive societal influence.

His contribution to Christian education extends beyond the local church. He holds honorary doctorate degrees from Melchisedec (Graduate) Bible Academy and New Stars International Bible College, where he serves in advisory leadership capacities.

Across the corporate and ecclesiastical spheres, Pastor Cyril Azobu exemplifies leadership anchored on character, competence, capacity development, transformational influence and selfless service. His journey demonstrates that genuine leadership is measured not merely by positions occupied, but by lives transformed, people developed, institutions strengthened and lasting impact created.

In recognition of his distinguished leadership capacity, professional accomplishments, enduring contributions to Christian ministry and commitment to developing transformational leaders, Pastor Cyril Azobu is hereby honoured with the 2026 Benefits Awards for Missionary Excellence (BAME) Award for Distinguished Leadership Capacity.

Presented by Christian Benefits Magazine on its 26th Anniversary Celebration, October 30, 2026, this award celebrates an exemplary life of faith, excellence, leadership and enduring Kingdom impact.
