Eangelist Dr. Funmi Aragbaiye is a veteran Nigerian gospel music minister, songwriter, evangelist and respected figure whose contributions have helped shape the development of gospel music in Nigeria. Born on July 5, 1954, in Ondo, southwestern Nigeria, Aragbaiye’s journey into gospel music began through her involvement with the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) in Ilorin, Kwara State, where she composed songs that blessed and inspired worshippers. Her musical calling gradually developed into a ministry that would reach audiences across Nigeria and beyond.

The honour celebrates her pioneering role in gospel music, exceptional vocal talent, prophetic musical ministry, leadership in the gospel music community and lasting influence on generations of listeners.
