The Sacred Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Cathedral of Joy – Oluwamayomikun Parish, Oke Itunu, Ibadan, will on Sunday, October 25, 2026, hold its 2026 Harvest Anniversary with the theme, “God of Increase,” drawn from Ezekiel 36:30.

The programme, scheduled for 12 noon at the church auditorium, No. 1 Amisu Street, beside Ade-Royal Group of Schools, Oke Itunu, Ibadan, is expected to bring together worshippers, Christian leaders, families and friends to celebrate God’s faithfulness and abundant blessings.

The service will feature Prophet Dr. Daniel Amoo Oladimeji, JP, as preacher, while Rev. Dr. Ebunoluwa Olukunson Bakare, Minister-in-Charge, will lead the congregation in the thanksgiving celebration.

Popularly known as Pastor Seyi Bakare or Mama Gboromiro, Rev. Dr. Bakare is the Minister-in-Charge of the Cathedral of Joy, Oluwamayomikun Parish, and founder of Gboromiro Prayer Ministry International. Her ministry combines prayer, biblical teaching, prophecy and intercession, with a growing emphasis on taking the Gospel beyond denominational boundaries.

In an interview with Christian Benefits Magazine published in September 2026, Bakare traced her journey into ministry to a divine encounter in 1999, after which she attended theological school and commenced Gboromiro Prayer Ministry in 2000. She had previously built a successful career in business, including serving as an area manager and becoming one of the major distributors of Eleganza products.

According to her, the ministry started with a small group of women who were encouraged to seek God through prayer rather than continually running from one place to another in search of solutions to their problems. The group subsequently attracted their husbands and grew into an interdenominational prayer ministry.

Today, the Gboromiro Interdenominational Intercessory Prayer Meeting, held every Tuesday, attracts worshippers from different Christian backgrounds. Its annual “7 to 7” programme has also developed into a major gathering drawing participants from different parts of Nigeria and abroad.

Beyond preaching and prayer, Bakare has also distinguished herself through humanitarian interventions. Christian Benefits Magazine reported that her ministry operates a tuition-free school in Ibadan, with hundreds of pupils and students benefiting, while welfare support is extended to widows, the aged, vulnerable people and other less-privileged members of society.

Her ministry has also received recognition outside the immediate C&S environment. Bakare told Christian Benefits Magazine that she has ministered on Pentecostal and Baptist platforms, experiences which reinforced her conviction that her calling transcends denominational boundaries.

“I decided not to box myself in. I do things the way I am led by God,” she said in the interview.

Her commitment to prayer and Christian service also earned her a nomination for the 2026 Benefits Awards for Missionary Excellence (BAME) Award for Impactful Prayer Ministry, an initiative of Christian Benefits Magazine.

The 2026 Harvest Anniversary therefore comes at a significant period in Bakare’s ministry, as she continues to combine pastoral leadership, intercessory prayer, biblical teaching and humanitarian service.

The theme, “God of Increase,” is particularly fitting for a harvest celebration, with the organisers expected to use the occasion to return thanks to God for His faithfulness while looking ahead to greater spiritual, numerical and kingdom impact.

The programme will also be broadcast live through the “Pastor Seyi Bakare Mama Gboromiro” Facebook platform.

Bakare, who describes her desired ministry legacy as one centred on prayer, the Word of God and sound teaching, has consistently urged Christians—particularly younger ministers—to know God and study His Word rather than build their ministries solely around miracles.

**The 2026 Harvest Anniversary is thus expected to be both a thanksgiving for the harvest of God’s faithfulness and a declaration of expectation for greater increase in the days ahead.**
