At a time when Nigeria continues to grapple with leadership failures, corruption and declining public trust, the need for leaders of character and integrity has never been more urgent.

Through the annual Leadership Voice of Integrity International (L.V.O.I.) Conference, its convener and the general overseer of Grace Prevailing Ministry, Dr. Solomon Godwin Nwachukwu, has consistently championed ethical leadership, accountability and the responsible use of power across the church and society. His leadership philosophy is rooted in the conviction that leadership is not merely about position or influence, but about character, responsibility and the legacy one leaves behind.

Ahead of the 2026 Leadership Voice of Integrity (L.V.O.I) Conference, themed “The Integrity Question: Can a Leader Lead Without Compromise?”, Dr. Nwachukwu speaks with Christian Benefits Magazine about his background, his journey into ministry and his commitment to raising leaders of godly character with impeccable and noble integrity across sectors through his annual Leadership Voice of Intergity (L.V.O.I) Conference. Excerpts:

How would you like to be introduced?
I am Dr. Solomon Godwin Nwachukwu. I come from a very humble background in Anambra State. I am happily married to a wonderful woman who is not only my wife but also my best friend and greatest support. By the grace of God, we are blessed with children.

My wife studied Mass Communication, and is also an international communicator. We both believe in continuous learning.
Academically, I hold a Master’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Political Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, all from the University of Lagos.

Did you have any secular work experience before coming into ministry?
Yes, I did. I worked briefly with the now defunct AFRIBANK before moving to an advertsinging agency, where I served as a Senior Account Officer. I also worked with Cargo Travelling Agency, Insight Communications, and one bluechip company formerly in partenership with COSCHARIS Group

After leaving paid employment, I ventured into the education sector with some colleagues at the grassroots level. The business later evolved into a consulting agency, where I built a reputable name for myself before God called me fully into ministry.

How is the business faring now?
When God called me into full-time ministry, I surrendered everything. It took me ten years to respond because I never intended to become a minister. I was already a committed Christian, a leader and a coordinator in Deeper Life Bible Church, so I kept asking myself why God was calling me into full-time ministry.

Would you describe giving up your thrivin gbusiness as a sacrifice for ministry?
It was not easy. God had blessed me with financial success very early in life. I became a millionaire at the age of 19. Later, God revealed to me that He did not want me to depend on my wealth. He allowed me to lose everything so that I would learn complete dependence on Him.

What’s your annual Leadership Voice of Integrity (L.V.O.I) Conference all about?
The Leadership Voice of Integrity (L.V.O.I) annual conference was born out of the vision of raising leaders of godly character, with impeccable and noble integrity, across sectors, including the church, business, the corporate world, governance, politics, administration, public service, education, activism and even sports.

The conference also encourages, recognises and honours leaders with commendable track records of proven leadership integrity across various sectors. Over the years, the conference has hosted great personalities in the field of leadership and integrity as guest speakers, including Prof. Pat Utomi, Dr. David Ikudayisi, Prof. Oseni Afisi, Dr. Femi Paul, Rev. Dare Oluwaniyi, Dr. Gloria Godwin, Apostle Godspower and Arch. Prof. John Nwawuogor, among others.

The conference has also honoured individuals with proven records of leadership integrity with the L.V.O.I Leadership Integrity Award.

I am persuaded that leadership without integrity is a crisis waiting to happen. That conviction is my driving force to check, prevent and forestall such crises or disasters across various sectors of Nigerian society.

Looking back, how fulfilled are you in ministry as the General Overserr of Grace Prevailing Ministry?
I give thanks to God because I am fulfilled. He has given me the grace to weather many storms and become who I am today by His mercy. I am still trusting Him for greater things ahead.

I also thank God for my wife, who is doing excellently in her calling among women and in the church. God has also blessed us with wonderful children. Indeed, God has been faithful.
