Mass Awareness Campaign Signals Countdown to 2026 Biennial Conference as General Overseer Speaks on Revival, Church Growth, and Nigeria’s Future
Jesus Is Light Ministries (Worldwide), popularly known as Light Chapel, has officially commenced preparations for its 2026 Biennial National Convention with a colourful mass awareness campaign across major streets in Lagos, drawing public attention to what the church describes as a divine season of revival, salvation, and spiritual renewal.
The evangelistic campaign witnessed a massive turnout of church members carrying banners, placards, and other publicity materials as they invited Lagos residents to the forthcoming conference.
According to the church, the outreach is aimed at creating widespread awareness and encouraging people from all walks of life to participate in the convention, which is expected to illuminate lives through the transforming message of Jesus Christ.
The biennial gathering, themed “Light of the World,” is expected to bring together members from all branches of the ministry across Nigeria for several days of worship, biblical teaching, revival meetings, prayers, and fellowship.
Speaking ahead of the conference, the General Overseer of Jesus Is Light Ministries (Worldwide), Pastor Bayo Funso Adaramola, described the event as a significant spiritual assembly designed to deepen believers’ relationship with God while providing opportunities for genuine encounters with Jesus Christ.
Pastor Adaramola, who has led the ministry for over two years, said the journey has been both demanding and rewarding, attributing every achievement recorded by the church to God’s grace.
He disclosed that under his leadership, the ministry has experienced renewed spiritual awakening among members, conducted its nationwide Compassion Crusade across all branches, established the Apostle Gbemiga Ola-Ojo ICT Centre to empower young people with digital skills, and commenced the publication of the church’s daily devotional.
The General Overseer noted that the forthcoming conference would feature expository Bible teachings, revival sessions, prayers, and expectations of signs, wonders, and miracles.
He expressed confidence that participants would leave the convention spiritually refreshed, strengthened in their faith, and equipped to live more Christ-centred lives.
Pastor Adaramola also offered his assessment of the Nigerian Church, saying it remains healthy despite concerns over some teachings that place excessive emphasis on material prosperity.
He urged Christian leaders to embrace greater spiritual accountability and refocus on discipleship, holiness, and Christlike living rather than material acquisition.
Commenting on Nigeria’s socio-economic situation, insecurity, and the 2027 general elections, the cleric acknowledged the hardships currently facing many Nigerians but expressed optimism that ongoing economic reforms would eventually yield benefits for citizens.
He further called for national unity in tackling insecurity and urged the Church to remain steadfast in praying for the nation and security personnel. On the forthcoming general elections, he prayed that God’s choice would emerge as leaders for Nigeria.
The 2026 Biennial National Convention is expected to attract thousands of worshippers, ministers, and guests from within and outside Nigeria for what church leaders believe will be a landmark gathering of revival, fellowship, and spiritual transformation.
