Citation of Evang. Dorcas Iyabode Nihinlola ihinlola Adewole on the Presentation of the 2026 Benefits Awards for Missionary Excellence (BAME Award) for Outstanding Christian Service
Evang. Dorcas Abosede Nihinlola Adewole is a distinguished woman of faith, visionary leadership, and uncommon grace whose impactful service within the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Lagos State, and beyond, has continued to inspire generations across the Body of Christ.
In recognition of her trailblazing achievements and unwavering commitment to the advancement of God’s kingdom, she made history as the first female Province Vice in the history of PFN Lagos State — a highly revered office traditionally occupied by men because of the enormous spiritual, administrative, and leadership responsibilities it demands.
With courage, wisdom, and deep spiritual insight, she broke barriers and faithfully served as the only woman among the Provincial Central Working Committee during critical assignments and strategic decision-making meetings. Her exemplary leadership has further paved the way for greater inclusion and recognition of women in leadership within the fellowship.
By the grace of God, Evang. Adewole successfully served her first tenure under the administration of the late Bishop Olushola Ore, Chairman of PFN Lagos State, between 2018 and 2024, and continues to serve diligently in her second term under the leadership of Pastor Yemi Davids at the State level and Pastor Jonathan Odianah at the Provincial level.
Beyond ecclesiastical leadership, Evang. Adewole has distinguished herself through remarkable missionary and humanitarian outreaches, particularly in correctional institutions and secondary schools.
Together with her husband and global ministry team, she has passionately carried out missions to correctional facilities where inmates are kept, ministering both spiritually and materially to hundreds of inmates and correctional officers. Through yearly mission outreaches, countless lives have been impacted through the distribution of palliatives including bags of rice, cows, bathing soaps, bathroom slippers, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and other welfare materials. In December 2025 alone, over 200 inmates and officers on duty were fed during a special outreach program.
In addition, she organizes monthly prayer gatherings with correctional officers where God has continually manifested His power through testimonies of physical, spiritual, academic, generational, promotional, and institutional breakthroughs. Through divine revelations and prophetic ministrations during these missions, several inmates reportedly received governmental pardons and miraculous interventions concerning their cases.
Evang. Adewole is also deeply committed to the spiritual and moral transformation of young people through secondary school missions — an assignment she embraced following the tragic death of a 12-year-old student who suffered severe maltreatment in a boarding school. From that painful experience, God birthed in her a mission focused on rescuing and preserving destinies between the critical ages of 12 to 21, which she describes as “the beginning of greatness,” and 21 to 40 as “the establishment of greatness.”
Through her school outreaches across government secondary schools, many hidden issues among students have been exposed and addressed through prayer, counseling, deliverance, and spiritual ministrations. Secret cult activities, emotional trauma, oppression, and destructive influences have been uncovered and dealt with, leading to testimonies of restoration and liberation among students and families alike.
Among the remarkable testimonies from these missions was a case where an initiation planned for students in a boarding school was divinely interrupted during one of her ministrations. In another instance, a 12-year-old boy who was reportedly at the point of death during a school gathering was miraculously rescued after prophetic prayers and intervention. In yet another school, long-hidden disturbing activities connected to food vendors within the school system were exposed through divine revelation, leading to immediate action and restoration of safety within the institution.
Her life remains a shining testimony of dedication, resilience, spiritual excellence, compassion, and pioneering leadership in the service of God and humanity.
