NAAC Gains Approval for New Programmes at 2nd Matriculation Ceremony

Lagos, Nigeria — April 29, 2026 — Nubian American Advanced College (NAAC), Lagos, has announced the approval of two new academic programmes—Accountancy and Computer Science—by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), marking a major milestone in the institution’s growth.

The announcement was made by the Provost and Chief Executive Officer of the college, Professor Patrick I. Oyinkari, during the school’s second matriculation ceremony held on Wednesday for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Professor Oyinkari described the approval as a strong vote of confidence in the institution’s mission to provide practical, future-ready education. He said the new programmes would complement the college’s existing Business Administration and Management offerings.

“We have promised not to be a mere paper-issuing institution but a driver of present and future-ready practice-oriented education and community development,” he stated.

The matriculation ceremony also welcomed representatives of the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Professor Is-haq Oloyede, who was represented by Lagos State Coordinators Mrs. Mary Essien and Mrs. Grace Ojekwe.

Addressing the newly admitted students, the Provost urged them to embrace discipline, integrity, and technological innovation as they begin their academic journey. He disclosed that the college would soon host executives for a specialized Artificial Intelligence training programme on campus.

Professor Oyinkari also used the occasion to advocate renewed support for polytechnic and technical education in Nigeria, noting that such institutions remain critical to national industrial and technological development.

He praised members of staff for their dedication and thanked parents, guardians, community leaders, and institutional partners for supporting the college’s vision.

NAAC, located in Lagos, says it is committed to developing skilled graduates equipped for leadership and the modern workplace.
