CFAM focuses on Raising Generational Disciples – Rev. Cyril Azobu

Rev. Cyril Azobu, Lead Pastor of Christ for All Mission (CFAM), Oke-Afa, Lagos, emphasizes that the church’s core focus has evolved from soul-winning alone to strategic and intentional discipleship.

Founded 44 years ago as a mission-focused church, CFAM now operates with a refined vision: reaching the world for Christ, raising seasoned disciples, and releasing them for kingdom service.

Under his leadership, CFAM prioritizes producing believers who are deeply grounded in Christ and impactful in society—what he describes as “apostles in the marketplace.”

This includes a deliberate discipleship system with structured teaching, interaction, and leadership development through initiatives like the School of Discipleship and Ministry, expanded beyond church leaders to the wider congregation, especially Gen Z converts.

Rev. Azobu stresses patience and understanding in discipling younger generations and new converts, many of whom come unsaved and with different worldviews.

The church focuses on inward transformation over rigid conformity, allowing growth that leads to lasting change.

This intentional approach, he says, addresses issues like church-hopping, which he links to poor discipleship and lack of authentic leadership modeling.

Rather than prioritizing massive church structures, CFAM concentrates on raising generational disciples who sustain the church beyond any single leader.

This people-centered philosophy explains the church’s continuity after its founder, late Bishop Roland Ike.

Rev. Azobu explained that the yearly Rehoboth Conference of the church is a major catalyst for CFAM’s growth and transformation. The 2025 edition last December 2025 represented an “expansion season” focused on people, not just structures. The participants experienced impactful, transformational teachings that set spiritual direction for this new year 2026. Previous conferences have yielded significant conversions, leadership transitions, and numerical growth.

Beyond Rehoboth Conference, CFAM also runs retreats, outreach programs, and social-impact initiatives, including free medical services.

Rev. Azobu expressed that the just concluded year 2025 at CFAM was marked by visible transformation across youths, men, families, and businesses, underscoring what he describes as a strong and ongoing move of God within the church.
