DIVINE PROCLAMATION TO THE PEOPLE OF NIGERIA
From the Office of the President, United Gospel Churches Association of Nigeria
KEY TEXT:
Lamentations 5:7 – “Our fathers have sinned, and are not; and we have borne their iniquities. Servants have ruled over us: there is none that doth deliver us out of their hand.”
- TO THE CUSTODIANS OF THE CHRISTIAN FAITH
“THERE WILL BE NO REST UNTIL YOU RESTORE THE GOVERNMENT UPON HIS SHOULDERS.”
Hear the Word of the Lord: There will be no peace until custodians of the Christian faith unite to place the government upon the shoulders of God’s only begotten Son (Isaiah 9:6–7; Psalm 2:6–9). Your ancestors handed authority to human rulers in search of kings like other nations:
“And the LORD said unto Samuel… they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me… according to all the works which they have done…” (1 Samuel 8:7–8)
Now reverse that pattern. Return fully to the leadership of the Living God through Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:18–20). Throw away all man-made doctrines and human systems adopted at the expense of Christ’s costly blood (Colossians 2:8–10; Galatians 1:6–9).
A DIVINE CHALLENGE
The organized religious Christian domain has become a haven for merchants and a nest for every evil bird (Matthew 21:12–13; Revelation 18:2). What was ordained as a house of prayer has been turned into a marketplace of greed, power, and manipulation (1 Timothy 6:9–10; 2 Peter 2:1–3). Stand up and clean it out, as Christ did (John 2:15–17). Judgment begins in God’s house (1 Peter 4:17). True rest will only come when the Church establishes God’s government on earth (Psalm 22:28).
Divine warning for leaders and custodians:
“Son of man, the princes of Israel, every one, have used their power to shed blood, and have defiled themselves with oppression and deceit. They have not judged the cause, the cause of the fatherless, nor the cause of the widow. Therefore I will pour out my indignation upon them; they shall die in their iniquity, and their blood shall be upon their own heads.” (Ezekiel 22:25–27)
A PROPHETIC PROMISE:
“If those who truly love Me and seek to do My will come to observe this, I will honour them and guide them.”
- TO THE LEADERS OF THE NATION
Leaders, hear the Lord! Irrespective of tribe, religion, or political affiliation, stand for truth, faith, and justice (Micah 6:8; Proverbs 29:2). The cries of the oppressed demand your attention: the blood of the unjustly killed calls for vengeance (Genesis 4:10), the empty bowls of the hungry plead for justice (Proverbs 21:13; Isaiah 1:17), and the people have labored for nothing (Lamentations 5:7).
WARNING CONCERNING WOMEN
“If you do not change the way you treat women, you will never see My glory.” (Proverbs 31:8–9; Galatians 3:28)
Respect, protect, and honor women; they are vital to the flourishing of nations and the Kingdom. Heaven watches and will respond (Ecclesiastes 12:14). The consequences of your choices are yours (Galatians 6:7).
Divine warning for rulers:
Do not end like Nebuchadnezzar, humbled for ignoring God’s authority:
“The Most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.” (Daniel 4:17)
The time allotted those your ancestors seeded power to has elapsed. What will you do when the reality bites? Who will you run to when they cannot answer to your calls or demands? Stand now, while there is time!
- TO THE PEOPLE OF THE NATION
Come out from dead religions—systems built by fallen man (Matthew 15:9; Colossians 2:20–23). Seek and embrace Christ, for He alone is the WAY to reconciliation with God and one another (John 14:6; 2 Corinthians 5:18–20). No religion denied the birth or return of Jesus (Luke 2:11; Acts 1:11). Jesus did not come to establish a religion called “Christianity” (John 18:36). The Living God is neither a Christian nor a Muslim; He is sovereign over all (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 45:5). Return to simplicity of truth and obedience (Romans 1:21–25).
- THE DIVINE MANDATE FOR ALL
God calls every leader, custodian of the Christian faith, and citizen to:
- Restore God’s government on earth (Isaiah 9:6–7)
- Cleanse the house of God of corruption and merchants (John 2:15–17; Revelation 18:2)
- Uphold truth, justice, and righteousness in leadership (Micah 6:8)
- Return to Christ as the WAY (John 14:6)
- Walk in obedience and simplicity of faith (1 John 5:3; Colossians 2:20–23)
- Honor and protect women (Proverbs 31:8–9; Galatians 3:28)
- Obey and seek the Lord; those who love Him and walk in His ways shall be honoured (John 14:21; Psalm 91:14–16)
Only then shall there be rest, divine favor, and a nation aligned with God’s Kingdom (Matthew 11:28–30; Psalm 22:28).
This is a prophetic national broadcast declaration: Turn back to God, obey His Word, honor His people, restore His government, and clean His house. Only then shall His glory dwell among you.
