Bishop Dr. Paul Onichamba, the Presiding Bishop of Royal Assembly and Deliverance Church, shares his inspiring journey of transformation and calling.

“I wasn’t even seeking Christ, but the Lord had mercy on me,” Bishop Dr. Paul Onichamba recalls his rebirth encounter. Growing up in an Orthodox Catholic background, he had a consciousness of God but no personal relationship with Him.

However, everything changed when he encountered the Lord through a series of events. “I heard the call to give my life to Christ, and I responded. It was a shift I couldn’t understand, but it was the beginning of my walk with the Lord.”

Bishop Onichamba’s ministry focuses on raising men and women of power and substance, emphasizing the importance of being heavenly conscious and earthly relevant.

“I’ve been blessed to have role models in ministry, such as Rev. George Adeboye, Late Umai Ukpai, and Archbishop Benson Idahosa,” he shares. “Their teachings and examples have shaped my ministry and vision.”

The Bishop received his call to ministry in 1997, and since then, he has been passionate about planting, raising, and handing over churches to the next generation.

“I’ve experienced the miraculous, including creative miracles and deliverances,” he says. “I’ve also waited 17 years for the miracle of having a child, but it’s been worth the wait.”

Bishop Dr. Paul Onichamba is also the Founder of International Centre for Church Health, which aims to correct the ills in the body of Christ through proper discipleship and teachings.

“The church is sick, and it’s time for us to address the issues,” he emphasizes. “We need to focus on systematic Bible study, ethics, and discipline in our ministries.”

Bishop Onichamba also shares the vision of International Fellowship of Ecumenical Ministry (IFEM) founded by Archbishop Osazie Williams as a network dedicated to rising by lifting others.

“We’re passionate about empowering ministers and churches, and we’ve been blessed to support various initiatives, including a fish farm in Delta state and a church in Liberia,” Bishop Dr. Onichamba shares.

The Bishop praises his mentor, Archbishop Prof. Osazie Williams, saying, “He’s an enigma, a man of God who loves people passionately and gives back generously.”
