In the unfolding story of the Lagos Central Baptist Conference, one name stands as a beacon of faith, vision, and leadership —Reverend Dr. Victor Bamidele Akerele.

For over two decades and four months, he faithfully served in the pastorate of the First Baptist Church, Festac Town,Lagos,shepherdingGod’speoplewithlove,wisdom,andcompassion.

Then, on December 1, 2020, a new chapter began as he assumed the mantle of Executive Conference President of the Lagos Central Baptist Conference.
A transformational, visionary, and servant-leader, Dr. Akerele is known for his humility, diligence, and relational warmth. His leadership refects both strength and grace —a rare combination that inspires confidence and loyalty.

Beside him stands his wife, Esther Modupe, a calm and compassionate medical professional who uses her gift of healing to touch lives within and beyond the Conference community. Their home radiates the fragrance of godliness —their children, Tobi, Tomi and Tolu, respectful and gracious, are living testimonies of Christan parenting and disciplined upbringing

Before his appointment as Conference President, Dr. Akerele had already served diligently as a member of the Executive Council for ten years under the preceding administration. Those years of experience and exposure equipped him with the insight and wisdom to hit the ground running when he assumed office.

Under his leadership, the Lagos Central Baptist Conference entered a new era of renewal, growth, and unity. and in frastructure Development

From structures to systems, transformation became visible and tangible.
