BEYOND THE STORM: UNDERSTANDING GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY

To Not Acknowledge God in Dark Situations is to Ascribe Absolute Power Over God to Satan, something most modern day preachers are guilty of….

The Bible teaches that God’s sovereignty extends over all creation, including Satan and his activities. Scripture reveals that everything Satan does requires God’s permission.

Biblical Examples

  1. Job’s Story: Satan’s attack on Job was only possible with God’s permission (Job 1:6-12, 2:1-7)- and God had a purpose
    .
  2. Peter’s Testing: Jesus revealed that Satan’s desire to sift Peter like wheat required God’s permission (Luke 22:31-32)- and God had a purpose
  3. Paul’s Thorn: Satan’s affliction of Paul was allowed by God for a specific purpose (2 Corinthians 12:7-10)- and God had a purpose

Scriptural Affirmations

  1. “The Lord has made everything for its own purpose, even the wicked for the day of evil” (Proverbs 16:4).
  2. “Shall there be evil in a city, and the Lord hath not done it?” (Amos 3:6).
  3. “The king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will” (Proverbs 21:1).

SEEK GOD’S PURPOSE: VICTORY IS TO KNOW, UNDERSTAND AND STAND ON GOD’S PURPOSE FOR THAT SITUATION

Instead of lamenting our circumstances, we can seek God’s purpose in permitting challenges. This perspective allows us to:

  1. Trust God’s sovereignty and wisdom.
  2. Discover divine purpose in trials.
  3. Find strength in God’s grace (2 Corinthians 12:9-10).

CONCLUSION

Everything Satan does requires God’s permission. Understanding this truth can bring peace, hope, and power in the midst of challenges. By grasping this biblical truth, we can navigate life’s challenges with faith, hope, and confidence in God’s sovereignty.
