The Renewal Congress of Aladura and Celestial Churches in Politics (RECAP) is set to hold a special prayer conference aimed at seeking God’s guidance for political leaders, the incoming administration and the nation at large.

According to the programme of the event, themed “Let It Shine”, the conference will bring together ministers of God, church leaders, politicians and other stakeholders for a day of intercession and spiritual reflection.

The event will feature an opening hymn, opening prayer, Bible reading, congregational worship, choir ministration and sermon before proceeding into intensive prayer sessions.

Highlights of the programme include prayers for God’s mercy on Nigeria, wisdom for political leaders, the peace and progress of Lagos State, successful governance under the incoming administration, and divine direction for all heads and leaders of White Garment Churches.

Paricipants will also pray against insecurity, kidnapping and persecution of the Church, while seeking God’s intervention in the nation’s economy, politics and democratic institutions. Special prayers will equally be offered for all aspirants and candidates, the executive offices of Lagos State, and for peaceful coexistence among Nigerians.

The programme will further feature a second sermon, an inauguration session, introductions, votes of thanks, the Lord’s Prayer and the closing benediction.

Organisers said the gathering is intended to unite believers across Aladura and White Garment churches in fervent prayer for Nigeria’s future, stressing that spiritual intervention remains essential for national peace, justice and sustainable development.

The conference is expected to attract clerics, political office holders, community leaders and worshippers from different parts of Lagos State.
