Significance of prophetic company to the 2023 election- Isaac Ezeh

Ahead of the 2023 Nigeria’s presidential election, Rev. Isaac Ezeh, Convener of Altar Revival; an intercessory fellowship, and Publisher of Messenger Publications has shared some scriptural insights, particularly God’s prophetic dimension as a guide to Nigerians in electing the right president for the nation Nigeria come 2023. In the insights that he shared with Christian Benefits, the barrister-turned-servant of God notes that the practice of democracy in the nations of the world today is not God’s idea. He then points direction to God’s way of electing the right leaders through prophetic company. Below are some excerpts of Rev. Ezeh’s scriptural insights on election of God’s prepared vessels as leaders that he titled: Understanding and Implementing God’s will for Divine Revolution.

NATIONS ARE GOD’S CREATION

The first thing I will like to say on the basis of scripture is to understand when we are dealing with the issue of the nation states that we are dealing with the creation of God. A nation state is not created by man. A nation state is created by God, and there is something God had in mind where he was creating the nation states.

I will like to establish this on the basis of scripture. If you read Deuteronomy 32:7-8 says, “Remember the days of old; consider the years of many generations, ask thy father and he will show thee and elders and they tell thee when the most high divided to the nations their heritage, when he separated the sons of Adam, set the boundaries of the people according to the number of the children of Israel.”

This scripture tells us three things. First, God is the one who created the nation states. Second, God is the one who determined the boundaries of nations. No matter the historical circumstance that leads to the coming into existence of any nation, it is the idea of God that is being worked out. We have to understand this because many times Christians have this expression and talk as if Nigeria was a mistake; that it was Lord Luggard that brought us together by force, that if it was not Lord Luggard we wouldn’t have been together as a nation.

But I want us to understand that if God did not will it Luggard wouldn’t have had what it would take to bring the nation of Nigeria into existence. It is clear that they had in mind some evil intentions because from the beginning Nigeria was just a place of commercial transactions. If you read our book, God’s Eternal Plan for Nigeria, you will discover that somebody was actually paid to purchase Nigeria. Somebody sold Nigeria to the nation of Britain for some amount of money. But it was God who willed it, and then history worked it out like that.

If you read another scripture to establish this foundation, Acts 17:25-27, we will see the reason why God established the nation states. It says, “Nor is He is worshiped with men’s hands, as though he needed anything, since he gives to all life, breadth and all things. And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, so that they should seek the Lord, in hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us.”

This scripture tells us that God designed the nation states with the intention to use the platform of nations to promise salvation to mankind. You know that after the fall of Adam, man was separated from God; nations that God created were separated from him, and also everything He created became corrupt.  So, God had to institute the cross for His son to come and die and reconcile both man and nations back to God. Also, because of this, nations that reject the gospel eventually will lose their right to continue remaining on the face of the earth. When you read Mathew 25 and Psalm 9:17 you will see that very clearly.

 DEMOCRACY IS NOT GOD’S IDEA

Having established the above foundation, the second statement I will also like to make is that the way democracy is practiced in the nations of the world today is not God’s idea of providing leadership. Democracy is defined as government of the people by the people and for the people. Democracy is not God’s idea.

If you trace in history the origin of democracy, you will trace it to the Book of Daniel chapter two and seven, which is the outworking of the forth kingdom that was described as a beast that will disperse and take over the nations of the world and be prominent until the return of the Lord. The beast was a nation that was ultimately destroyed by stone that was cut without hand. So, democracy is not God’s way of providing leadership.

If you read 1 Samuel chapter seven you will discover that when Prophet Samuel was old, his children were not following the path of righteousness the way he did. And the nation of Israel started desiring to have a king rule them like other nations. This desire grieved the prophet, but, because the people wanted a king, God told Samuel it is not you the people rejected. It is Me Almighty God they have rejected.

“God’s original design was to lead nations Himself. And the way God provides leadership for nations is through prophetic company.”

God’s original design was to lead nations Himself. And the way God provides leadership for nations is through a prophetic company. In that story 1 Samuel chapter seven, even when God wanted to give the people of Israel a king, He did that through the instrumentality of Samuel; a prophet. And that desire in the hearts of the people eventually was Saul becoming the first king of the nation of Israel.

So, when God wants to raise a leader for any nation He raises a prophetic company to identify the person or vessel He has prepared. Then, the prophetic company will anoint that person and circumstances around the nation will work it out. If it is democracy, democracy will work it out so that person that God has raised can become the leader of that nation. If you read another scripture in Romans you will also see that any leader that was enthroned was allowed by God for that season.

Even leaders that are based God allowed it sometimes it is actually for evil; maybe God wants to punish the people for their rebellion and disobedience, or sometimes God just wants a prophecy to work out. So, the prophetic company is important in pointing to the people God has prepared at different seasons for leadership. And when the prophets anoint a leader, circumstances in his history; if it is democracy or any other kind of system that is available will work it out.

“So, the prophetic company is important in pointing to the people God has prepared at different seasons for leadership”

GOD’S CANDIDATE IN ELECTORAL PROCESS

The third thing I want to say and put on record is that in the political process the way God has showed us and led us over the years there are times when God will have a candidate for an electoral process. There are also times when God will say I don’t have a candidate; there is no person that I have raised. In this article, I am speaking mostly to intercessors. I will like us to understand the issues so that we can pray with knowledge, and they pray and bring about the will of God. We are not just to pray circumstantial prayer or pray the way circumstances just grant us.

So, if God has a candidate or has raised somebody, then our engagement should be different because as the people of God once we know the will of God it is our responsibility to support and pursue it. It is our responsibility to pray it and work towards it. It doesn’t matter if that person that is the will of God wins or loses. What is the issue is our obedience because if we obey God we are going to have the blessing of obedience. And part of the blessing of obedience is exaltation, which on the other side is to have good government or Godly leaders rule over us.

There are also circumstances when God says I don’t have a candidate. And when God doesn’t have a candidate our engagement is should also be different as I am going to shed light as I continue. (Continues next edition)

If we obey God we are going to have the blessing of obedience. And part of the blessing of obedience is exaltation, which on the other side is to have good government or Godly leaders rule over us.”

Thank you very much for this is a deep insight or the power behind the struggle of some Christians in following the Lord Yahuah. Reason for rising and falling in our journey to accomplish the calling of Yahweh.
Our Ancestry foundation deep in occultism, Idolatry which cuts across all our cultural heritage and practices. I can understand why God asked Gideon to destroy the Father’s altar to Baal in Judges 6,:28-35.
(2) Unable to cut Covenant with Elohim God and keep it even when we become a child of God Elohim.
Thank you sir for this revelation.
